Given Johnnie Cochran Jr.'s widespread fame, his death Tuesday poses challenges for his 14-city firm. But, while noting that Cochran's absence leaves a void, Miami managing partner James S. Robertson III said the firm's success is not dependent on its founder. "Nationally, one of my partners last year had the largest personal injury verdict in the country. Another partner was named trial lawyer of the year in Nevada. ... I believe that the firm will continue to have significant cases."
