A former high-ranking Boy Scouts of America official who ran a task force that worked to protect children from sexual abuse pleaded guilty Wednesday to a federal charge of possession and distribution of child pornography. Authorities found 520 images of child pornography on Douglas Sovereign Smith Jr.'s home computer, according to an Assistant U.S. Attorney. Smith faces five to 20 years in prison.
