A quadriplegic lawyer has sued producers of NBC's "The Apprentice," claiming the tryouts for the popular reality show discriminate by requiring would-be contestants to be in excellent physical health. James Schottel Jr. seeks an injunction that would force the show to drop requirements that exclude him and "others similarly situated" from being considered. Although he has no evidence that the show has rejected any disabled person, Schottel, who seeks no monetary damages, says his suit isn't frivolous.
