California Attorney General Bill Lockyer's first meaty arguments in defense of the state's marriage laws Friday only added to Christian legal groups' determination to defend the laws alongside him. Lawyers with Liberty Counsel and the Alliance Defense Fund, which both rushed to the courthouse to try to stop San Francisco's same-sex marriages last winter, don't have a quarrel with what Lockyer argues in the brief filed in San Francisco Superior Court. It's what he left out.
