Cooley Godward announced Friday it has elevated 10 associates to partner, bringing to 156 the total number of partners at the 500-lawyer firm. In Palo Alto, the new partners include two corporate lawyers and one litigator. The business attorneys are Carolyn Craig, who graduated from the Santa Clara University School of Law in 1995, and John Geschke, a 1995 Stanford Law School graduate. The new litigation partner in Palo Alto is Neal Stephens, a 1990 Harvard Law School graduate who focuses on complex business and technology disputes. Patrick Gunn, a complex business litigator who graduated from Boston University School of Law in 1994, is the new litigation partner in San Francisco. In San Diego, the firm elevated to partner two litigation associates and two corporate associates. The business partners are Jane Adams, who graduated from Harvard Law School in 1995, and Steven Przesmicki, a 1995 University of Wisconsin Law School alumnus. The new litigation partners in the San Diego office are Philip Tencer, a 1994 Boalt Hall School of Law alumnus, and Kent Walker, who graduated from Loyola Law School in 1994. The firm also made two new partners in its Reston, Va., office. They are Allan Soobert, a litigator who graduated from Franklin Pierce Law Center in New Hampshire in 1993, and Mark Spoto, a corporate lawyer who graduated from Georgetown University Law Center in 1995.
