The U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit today vacated Judge Thomas Penfield Jackson's decision to break up Microsoft and sent the government's antitrust case against the company back to a lower court. The court upheld the finding that Microsoft violated antitrust laws, but ruled Jackson created an appearance of bias against the company, and remanded the case to a different judge for further remedy proceedings.
