Pittsburgh, Pa.’s Kirkpatrick & Lockharthas established a new Food and Drug practice in the firm’s Washington office. Joining K&L, along with members of their team, are Food and Drug attorneys Kathleen D. Jaeger, Emalee G. Murphy, Suzan Onel, Donald R. Stone, and Gary L. Yingling. They will provide services for products regulated by the FDA, including intellectual property, business transactions, licensing, regulatory compliance, premarket notifications and product approvals, administrative enforcement, product liability, insurance, government contracts, technology transfers, environmental and healthcare. Chicago’s Mayer, Brown & Plattadded three new partners and three new associates to its Information Technology Transactions Practice through mergers with the European law firms of Gaedertz in Frankfurt and Lambert & Lee in Paris. Lucas will focus his practice on mergers and acquisitions, securities, joint ventures, project finance and other business transactions, with an emphasis on companies in the energy industry. Lucas received his law degree from Yale University School of Law in 1970. New York’s Clifford Chance Rogers & Wellspromoted 38 lawyers to partner. Patricia A. Carson has been with the firm since 1994. She earned her J.D. from Fordham Law School in 1991. Jeffrey A. Liebermanhas been counsel in the firm’s Tax department since 1993. He earned his law degree from Hofstra in 1985 and a LL.M. from New York University in 1990. Karl A. Roessner has been at the firm since 1992. He earned his law degree St. John’s University School of Law. Earl S. Zimmerman is a member of the firm’s insurance practice and has been with the firm since 1992. He earned his law degree from Columbia Law School in 1992. John E. Scribner has been at the firm since 1997. He earned his law degree from University of Oklahmoa College of Law in 1992.
