NEW HIRES Lance A. Lanier, 30, has joined Akron, Ohio’s Buckingham, Doolittle & Burroughs as an associate in the litigation and creditors rights and bankruptcy practice groups. He was previously an associate at Cleveland’s Weltman, Weinberg & Reis. He received his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Akron School of law in 1998. Aaron Dean, 31, has joined the Seattle office of Portland’s Bullivant Houser Bailey as an associate, where he will practice in the firm’s insurance group. He received his J.D. from the Seattle University School of Law in 1996. NEW FIRMS Gilbert Heintz & Randolph, a new Washington, D.C.-based law firm, opened its doors last week.
