A Texas court dismissed a suit a Houston man lodged against A.H. Belo Corp., Houston station KHOU-TV and a reporter, alleging they conspired to conceal the whereabouts of his daughter during a custody dispute after the station interviewed her. The court found the defendants had no duty to the father because they did not create the situation -- the abduction of the child -- and there was no special relationship that created a duty.
