Two Moultrie, Ga. residents have filed a federal civil rights suit alleging a Lamar County, Ga. sheriff’s deputy used racial profiling to wrongfully stop their car on Interstate 75.

Willard Harper and Rena Harmon contend they and other minorities are illegally singled out by deputies on a three-mile stretch of the interstate near Barnesville, Ga., about 45 miles south of Atlanta.
