Attorney Paul B. Episcope shepherded a record $20 million settlement for a client rendered paraplegic during a rush-hour wreck with a United Parcel Service truck in Illinois two years ago.

Allison Lester, 24, was paralyzed from the waist down May 11, 1998, when the Saturn she was driving east on I-55 to her job in Rosemont was rear ended by a loaded UPS double-tractor-trailer near Joliet Road, according to the lawsuit filed against the delivery service and driver Jeffrey Krueger.
