A Texas judge has hit the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway Co. with $10 million in sanctions, charging that the railroad used “false” and “concocted” evidence during a wrongful death trial.
Tarrant County District Judge Robert McGrath also ordered a mistrial and fined the lead defense counsel $10,000 for saying that he believed Burlington had not engaged in any sanctionable conduct.
