Third U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals Chief Judge Edward R. Becker has dismissed a judicial misconduct complaint against U.S. District Judge Stewart Dalzell in which the parents of murder victim Laurie Show accused Dalzell of intentionally ignoring evidence when he ruled that Lisa Michelle Lambert was innocent of their daughter’s murder.
Ordinarily, such rulings are strictly confidential and are never made public, but the Shows supplied a copy of Becker’s Feb. 22 opinion to the Lancaster Intelligencer-Journal newspaper, which, in turn, has supplied a copy to The Legal Intelligencer.
