APBnews.com filed an amended complaint Feb. 18 in its lawsuit against the federal judiciary. The suit, APBnews.com v. Committee on Financial Disclosure, S.D.N.Y., C.A. No. 99-12288 (JSR), 12/22/99, amended 2/18/00, charges the Judicial Conference of the United States, as well as other parties, with discriminating against Internet news services in blocking access to the financial disclosure records of all federal judges.

The original lawsuit was filed in December, shortly after the Judicial Conference committee that oversees judicial financial disclosure rejected APBnews’ request for the disclosure records of all federal judges. APBnews is a Web site/news service that covers crime, criminal-law matters, and other legal issues.
