The battle for control of DVD technology is escalating in and out of the courtroom.
Lawyers for the motion picture industry, armed with two injunctions, are now patrolling Web sites in search of anyone passing along programs that enable users to decode DVD (digital video display) movies without buying the drives or players needed.
