Chevron U.S.A. Inc. and Berkeley-based Disability Rights Education and Defense Fund on Tuesday announced a comprehensive agreement to settle a class action that sought to make 1,600 gas stations accessible.

“I am pleased that we were able to reach a nationwide settlement so that Americans with Disabilities Act compliance issues could be dealt with on a company-wide basis instead of dealing with each station, one by one,” said Arlene Mayerson, directing attorney for DREDF.
