Now, Leigh's image of a cemetery statue known as the "Bird Girl" is under the bright lights of scrutiny of the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. Leigh sued Warner Brothers, alleging it stole the "mood, idea, and spirituality" of his copyrighted photograph "Bird Girl" when the company took shots of a Bird Girl replica for the "Midnight" film and promotion.
