A proposed class action on behalf of people who posted bail for their loved ones and were charged allegedly illegal and excessive fees by bail bondsmen may go forward, a Manhattan judge has ruled.

The claims surviving in the suit, McKinnon v. International Fidelity Insurance Co., filed last week in Supreme Court, New York County, IA Part 3, were fraud, deceptive business practices and unjust enrichment.
