Is the name "USABanc.com" too easily confused with the likes of "USBANK.com"? A federal judge thought so. As a result, a small Philadelphia bank was forced to shut down its Web site after a giant Minnesota banking company claimed the Internet address infringed on its trademark. Last month the local bank opened an interactive online banking and brokerage service, with an address of USABanc.com. Immediately, the $300 million bank was targeted for a preliminary injunction by the $77 billion U.S. Bancorp.
