The daughter of "House of Horrors" killer Gary Heidnik does not have next-friend standing to challenge her father's sentence, the Pa. Supreme Court has ruled, denying a stay of execution to the death row inmate. Heidnik was sentenced to die by lethal injection in 1988 for the murder of two of six women he kidnapped and tortured. The women who survived said Heidnik had raped them, held them captive by shackling them and made them eat dog food mixed with ground-up human remains.

The daughter of “House of Horrors” killer Gary Heidnik does not have next-friend standing to challenge her father’s sentence, the state Supreme Court has ruled, denying a stay of execution to the death row inmate.
Heidnik is scheduled to be put to death by lethal injection on July 6 at the State Correctional Institution at Rockview. In order to get next-friend standing, Heidnik’s daughter, Maxine White, had to show that her father is mentally incompetent.
