The Good Samaritan doctrine can and should be applied to homeowners, a Pennsylvania court has ruled. It is the first time the doctrine has been applied in that context in the state. The decision gives the go-ahead for a trial to determine whether a man was negligent in not getting his neighbor medical attention after the intoxicated neighbor fell at a party and sustained permanent brain damage.
