Wawa, Inc. was hit with a suit under the ADA by a worker who claims the company maintains an illegal policy of requiring injured workers to achieve 100 percent recovery before they can return to work. Matthew DePorter of Wilmington, Del. worked on the loading dock in Wawa's dairy for 12 years until he suffered an on-the-job back injury. After several months, DePorter's doctor cleared him to return to work in a medium-duty position, but Wawa refused to take him back, the suit says.
