New Additions Attorney Steven S. Poulathashas joined Flaster Greenbergas an associate and member of the corporate/tax, mergers and acquisitions and trust and estate practice groups in the firm’s Cherry Hill office. Poulathas will focus on counseling and representing individuals and companies in tax planning, compliance and controversy for matters involving a broad range of corporate, partnership, limited liability company and real estate issues, including merger and acquisition agreements, legal opinions, private letter rulings and SEC registration statements. He also will be advising on estate planning and administration.     Jason A. Snydermanhas joined Blank Romeas a partner in the litigation department, and will also practice in the IP litigation group. Snyderman brings more than 10 years of experience in all facets of trial and appellate litigation at both the state and federal levels, and he will be based in the firm’s Philadelphia office. Elected and Appointed Seamus P. McCaffery , Pennsylvania Supreme Court justice, and Jon C. Sirlin, judge pro tem of the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas, have been elected to the board of governors of the Civil War & Underground Railroad Museum of Philadelphia. Founded in 1888 by veteran Union officers, the museum is the oldest chartered Civil War institution in the United States created to preserve the history of that conflict, and to promote public education through the collection, preservation and display of artifacts and written and photographic documents.     Catherine M. McFadden, a partner in the family law department of Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis, has become a fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. The AAML strives to encourage the study, improve the practice, elevate the standards and advance the cause of matrimonial law and, in doing so, seeks to protect and promote the overall welfare of families and the society as a whole. McFadden’s practice focuses primarily on complex divorce, equitable distribution, alimony and support matters.     Cozen O’Connormember Adam C. Boninauthored a chapter in the recently released third edition of “Political Activity, Lobbying Laws and Gift Rules Guide,” published by Thompson-West. Bonin’s chapter is titled “Campaign Finance Law and the Internet.” The book offers advice to practitioners on dealing with political action committees and lobbying regulations, and provides in-depth coverage of the federal laws governing lobbying activities and detailed, technical discussions of tax and reporting considerations. It also covers recent developments in procurement lobbying and state-related lobbying issues. A member in the firm’s Philadelphia office, Bonin practices in the subrogation and recovery department.     Lynn Axelroth, a partner in the real estate department at Ballard Spahr Andrews & Ingersoll,has been appointed to a three-year term on the American College of Construction Lawyers’board of governors. Axelroth represents corporate, institutional, developer, individual and public owners, public/private joint venturers, lenders, prime and trade contractors and design professionals in all aspects of complex commercial real estate development, construction and design contracts, financing, and alternative dispute resolution.   Clarification In the article, “Phila. Judge Rules Paxil Labeling Suit Not Pre-Empted,” published on page 1 of The Legalon Friday, March 14, the law firm Baum Hedlund Aristei & Goldman should have been listed as the firm representing the plaintiffs in Collins v. SmithKline Beecham Corp. d/b/a GlaxoSmithKline.Sol H. Weiss, a shareholder of Anapol Schwartz Weiss Cohan Feldman & Smalley, argued the federal pre-emption issue at the heart of the case in front of the court. �
