LOS ANGELES — Reed Smith has added four lawyers in Los Angeles: Mark Litvack, Henry Wang, Kathyleen “Kate” O’Brien and Wendy Albers. Litvack, formerly a partner at Los Angeles-based Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, focuses on civil litigation involving technology issues, intellectual property, trademark and copyright infringement and entertainment actions. He is the former director of legal affairs for worldwide piracy at the Motion Picture Association of America and is joining Reed Smith’s Century City, Calif., office as a partner. Wang, also a former partner at Manatt who is joining the firm’s Los Angeles office, focuses on business litigation such as intellectual property, real estate, employment, First Amendment, product liability, unfair competition, bad faith and contract claims. O’Brien, who is joining Reed Smith’s Century City office as a partner, is an antitrust, copyright and trademark litigator who represents consumer products and entertainment companies in class actions and unfair competition, false and deceptive advertising, trademark infringement and trade regulation claims. She was formerly a partner in the Los Angeles office of Morrison & Foerster. Wendy Albers, previously counsel at Horvitz & Levy in Encino, Calif., is joining Reed Smith of counsel in its appellate group in Los Angeles. With the additions, Reed Smith has added more than 50 new partners in California since January 2005.
