Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart has opened an office in San Francisco, its third location in California. Douglas J. Farmer and Thomas M. McInerney have joined the employment boutique firm’s San Francisco office as shareholders. Farmer, who was a partner in the San Francisco office of Los Angeles-based Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton, handles wage-and-hour, discrimination and wrongful termination litigation for employers. McInerney, a former partner at Thelen Reid Brown Raysman & Steiner in San Francisco, represents clients in the technology, energy, construction and engineering, public utilities and healthcare industries and defends employers in harassment, discrimination, unfair business practice and wage-and-hour claims. David Sohn, formerly of New York’s Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, has joined them as an associate. In 2003, Ogletree opened a Los Angeles office, followed by an office in Torrance, Calif., in 2004. Including San Francisco, the firm now has 33 offices.
