In spite of a down year, Heller Ehrman has given a vote of confidence to Chairman Matthew Larrabee, re-electing him for three more years. The San Francisco-based firm lost a number of key lawyers last year and has warned partners that profits may be less than what was projected at the beginning of 2006. In September, 65 support staff were cut, though the firm said the layoffs had nothing to do with the business slowdown.
