CHICAGO � Baker & McKenzie has hired Graham Stuart from Norton Rose to lead its climate change and environmental practice for the Europe, Middle East and Central Asia region from London. Stuart, who has 11 years experience in the field, will be a corporate partner at the firm’s largest office in London, Baker & McKenzie said in a release. The practice group includes 300 attorneys worldwide, according to the firm’s Web site. Baker & McKenzie, founded in Chicago, has about 3,600 attorneys worldwide. Stuart has worked with carbon markets on origination through distribution and advised carbon funds, investment banks, carbon credit aggregators and compliance buyers on a variety of issues, including emission reduction projects and secondary market trading operations, the release said. His clients have included those in the oil and gas, power, manufacturing, industrial port and aviation sectors.
