The 130th annual meeting of the American Bar Association opens Aug. 9 in San Francisco, where ABA President Karen Mathis will pass the baton to her successor, William Neukom. In this special report of The National Law Journal, Mathis reflects on the bar’s accomplishments during the past year, while Neukom lays out his program for the future and the incoming chairs of 13 ABA sections report on the legal trends and issues facing their membership.
