BINGHAM MCCUTCHEN Frank Lamancusa has joined Bingham McCutchen as of counsel in the firm’s telecommunications, media, and technology group. He will work in the firm’s D.C. office, focusing on alternative dispute resolution, enforcement-related cases, and governmental investigations. Lamancusa, 43, is a former Federal Communications Commission manager and arbitrator. He received his J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law.
BOOZ ALLEN HAMILTON Karen Tinsky, 32, was hired by Booz Allen Hamilton as associate general counsel. She arrives from BEA Systems Inc., where she was corporate counsel and responsible for government contracts. She has also been at Greenberg Traurig, where she was an associate in the government contracts and export controls practice groups. She received her J.D. from George Washington University Law School.
COHEN & COHEN Stephanie Marcus joined Cohen & Cohen as an associate. She is a recent graduate of the University of Richmond School of Law. Marcus, 25, will be practicing in the areas of medical negligence, product defects, and catastrophic injuries.
CREATIVE ASSOCIATES INTERNATIONAL Jeffrey Marburg-Goodman has joined Creative Associates International as general counsel. Goodman, 45, was formerly the chief procurement counsel for the U.S. Agency for International Development, where he was responsible for most of USAID’s instruments and funding. He earned his J.D. from Harvard Law School.
FISH & RICHARDSON Jeffrey Whieldon, 63, has joined Fish & Richardson as of counsel in the firm’s litigation group. He will specialize in Section 337 litigation before the U.S. International Trade Commission. Whieldon was previously a supervisory attorney in the Office of Unfair Import Investigations at the ITC. He received his law degree from Boston University School of Law. Sung Yun Kim has been hired as scientific adviser for Fish & Richardson’s litigation group in its D.C. office. Kim worked on mobile-telecommunications and computer-engineering patent licensing and patent litigation for LG Electronics’ intellectual property center in Seoul, Korea. Kim received his B.S. in computer engineering from Chonbuk National University in South Korea.
HUNTON & WILLIAMS Whitney Ellerman, 45, has joined Hunton & Williams as a partner in the firm’s D.C. office. He focuses on white-collar criminal defense and special investigations. Ellerman was previously a partner at Janis, Schuelke & Wechsler. Ellerman received his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law.
WILLCOX & SAVAGE Laura Pyle has come aboard at Willcox & Savage as an associate focusing on commercial litigation. Pyle, 25, received her J.D. from Washington and Lee University School of Law.
ZUCKERMAN SPAEDER Paula Junghans has joined Zuckerman Spaeder as a partner. Her practice focuses on tax litigation in the firm’s D.C. and Baltimore offices. Before joining, Junghans, 57, was a partner with DLA Piper. She is also a former deputy assistant attorney general and acting assistant attorney general of the Tax Division of the Department of Justice. She earned her J.D. from the University of Maryland School of Law. — Michael Martin
