Temple University James E. Beasley School of Law in Philadelphia has named three new faculty members. Peter Spiro, who previously was the associate dean for development at the University of Georgia School of Law, will focus on international and immigration law as the Charles R. Weiner Professor of Law. Jaya Ramji-Nogales joins Temple as an assistant professor who will teach civil procedure and evidence. She was a clinical teaching fellow at Georgetown University Law Center. Harwell Wells, also joining as an assistant professor, will teach corporate law and professional responsibility. Most recently he worked as an associate at Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr. Southern Illinois University School of Law, a public interest institution, will hold its annual Dr. Arthur Grayson Distinguished Lecture on Thursday, Sept. 28 at 5 p.m. William H. Colby, senior fellow of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization, will present “From Cruzan to Schiavo: Lessons Learned” in the law school auditorium.
