Gross revenue at large Texas firms moved upward in 2005, but only slightly, with the 25 highest-grossing Texas-based firms posting an overall 2.3 percent increase in total revenue last year, compared to 2004.
That rate of increase is identical to the increase in total gross revenue brought in by the top 25 firms included in last year’s Annual Report on Firm Finance. Some large Texas firms racked up double-digit percentage increases in gross revenue between 2004 and 2005, including Vinson & Elkins and Porter & Hedges of Houston, Thompson & Knight of Dallas, and San Antonio’s Cox Smith Matthews.
