New Partners ALLEN MATKINS TAPS EIGHT FOR PARTNERSHIP Allen, Matkins, Leck, Gamble, Mallory & Natsis has elevated eight lawyers to the ranks of partner. Three lawyers were named in the firm’s San Francisco office. Michael Betz, 34, who focuses on complex commercial and corporate litigation, received his J.D. from Pepperdine University School of Law in 1997. William Huckins, 47, earned his J.D. from the University of Utah Law School in 1994. He focuses on bankruptcy, creditors’ rights and business litigation. Baldwin Lee, 35, a labor lawyer specializing in wage-and-hour class actions, discrimination claims, training and trade secret matters, received his J.D. in 1996 from the University of Chicago Law School. Three lawyers were named partner in Orange County. William Ahern, 35, who earned his J.D. in 1997 from the University of Toledo College of Law, specializes in taxation, particularly working on the formation, restructuring and dissolution of partnerships and limited-liability companies. Louis Antosh Jr., 41, received his J.D. from Boston University School of Law in 1995. He focuses on national life insurance companies and other institutional lenders and commercial loan providers in commercial real estate finance transactions. Jason Weiss, 35, who focuses on employment law and business litigation, graduated from the University of Southern California Law School in 1996. Debra Riley, 47, and Sean Southard, 37, were elevated to partnership in San Diego. Riley specializes in bankruptcy and creditors’ rights and earned her J.D. in 1990 from the University of San Diego School of Law. Southard received his J.D. from Loyola Law School in 1997. He focuses on office, industrial, retail and general ground leasing and property acquisitions and dispositions. � Petra Pasternak
