San Francisco SEYFARTH SHAW has elevated 13 attorneys to partnership, including three in the S.F. office. Michael Burns specializes in traditional labor and employment law. He is a 1994 graduate of University of San Francisco School of Law. Catherine Dacre is a member of the labor and employment group. She graduated from Hastings College of the Law in 1989. Jason Whong focuses his practice on taxation, fund formation, general corporate and information technology law. He received his J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law in 1996 and LL.M. from New York University School of Law in 1997. Michael Coffino has joined REED SMITH as a partner in the Northern California business trial group. Coffino, who was previously with Steefel, Levitt & Weiss, is a 1979 graduate of Boalt Hall School of Law. Richard Pio Roda has been appointed president of the Filipino Bar Association of Northern California. Roda, who is a public law and public contract associate at MEYERS, NAVE, RIBACK, SILVER & WILSON, graduated from University of San Francisco School of Law in 2001. BRADSHAW & ASSOCIATES has added Daniel Sharp and Ryan Vlasak as associates. Sharp, who is with the firm’s real property and business litigation groups, is a graduate of the University of San Francisco School of Law Vlasak, who is a member of the intellectual property, real property and family law practice groups, received his J.D. from Temple University Beasley School of Law. South Bay Sarju Naran has joined PAUL, HASTINGS, JANOFSKY & WALKER in Palo Alto as an associate in the employment group. Naran, who was formerly with Hoge, Fenton, Jones & Appel, is a 2001 graduate of McGeorge School of Law at the University of the Pacific. East Bay Walnut Creek-based ARCHER NORRIS is opening a new office in Newport Beach today. Limor Lehavi returns to the firm as of counsel in Newport Beach, while of counsel Namvar Mokri will relocate from the Los Angeles office. Lehavi, who had previously been with the firm from 2002-04, specializes in insurance litigation. She received her LL.B. from the University of Haifa School of Law in Israel in 1995 and her LL.M. from University of San Diego School of Law in 1996. Mokri, who has been with the firm since last year, focuses his practice on general civil litigation with an emphasis on construction, business litigation and transactional matters. He is a 1995 graduate of Western State University Law School. Southern California Douglas Larson has joined JEFFER, MANGELS, BUTLER & MARMARO as of counsel in the Los Angeles office. Larson, who was formerly with Squire, Sanders & Dempsey, focuses on intellectual property law. He received his J.D. from University of Missouri Law School in 1977 and LL.M. from George Washington University Law School in 1983. SEYFARTH SHAW has elevated 13 attorneys to partnership, including one in the Los Angeles office: Geoffrey Long. Long is a member of the litigation practice group. He is a 1996 graduate of Hastings College of the Law. Orange County-based RUTAN & TUCKER has added Marie Leggon Wrighten as senior counsel in the trial section.
