Boosted by relief efforts for families of victims of the World Trade Center attack, New Jersey’s largest firms logged more pro bono hours last year than any year in the past decade.

Lawyers at the Law Journal‘s Top 20 firms reported 70,353 hours spent on pro bono cases in 2001 – a 10.6 percent increase from the 63,588 hours reported in 2000.
