The firm announced the addition of Joseph McLaughlin, who will chair Heller’s 52-attorney New York office. A former head of Shearman & Sterling’s litigation group, McLaughlin has been in house at CSFB since 1997. During that time he has served as the company’s executive vice president of legal and regulatory affairs, and more recently, as the chair of its philanthropic arm, Credit Suisse First Boston Foundation Trust.

“Joe is very highly regarded in the New York legal community,” said Heller Ehrman Chairman Barry Levin. “He will help us increase our ability to represent the types of clients we want to represent and to attract new lawyers to the office.”
