Latham & Watkins has boosted its private equity and finance practice in Hong Kong with the hires of three new partners Gary Hamp, Simon Cooke and Amy Beckingham.

Hamp was most recently a London partner at Hogan Lovells. He specializes in leveraged finance, having advised banks, private equity firms and corporations on matters such as acquisition financing and debt restructuring. Hamp joined Hogan Lovells in 2004 in London as a partner and relocated to head up the firm’s banking practice in Hong Kong four years later. He returned to London in 2014. Earlier in his career, he also practiced at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett and Clifford Chance in London and Hong Kong.
