GreenLaw, which provides free legal and technical assistance to Georgia environmental and community groups, held its awards ceremony Sept. 24 at Nelson Mullins in Midtown. Winners were Marcia Bansley for lifetime achievement, David and Mindy Egan as environmental heroes, Jewell Harper for excellence in environmental law, and four Legislators of the Year for protecting Georgia’s coast: Sen. Jason Carter, Sen. William Ligon, Rep. Alex Atwood and Rep. Jeff Chapman.
