SACRAMENTO — Quest Diagnostics Inc. will pay the state of California and a qui tam plaintiff a combined $241 million to settle a lawsuit charging the national laboratory with overbilling state medical patients, the attorney general’s office announced today.
The award is the largest ever under the state’s False Claims Act, according to the AG’s office.
