Two former executives of Adelphia Communications Corp. already serving lengthy prison terms for securities fraud have scored another significant victory in their long-fought defense of a second indictment for dodging taxes on the $1.9 billion they allegedly stole.

A federal judge in Harrisburg has ordered prosecutors to turn over documents from the New York securities fraud prosecution, including notes of interviews with attorney Carl Rothenberger, a partner at Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney who formerly served as Adelphia’s lead outside securities and corporate governance lawyer.
