Ashurst is to launch a dispute resolution practice in Hong Kong after recruiting financial litigation specialist Gareth Hughes from Simmons & Simmons.
As Ashurst’s first litigation partner in Hong Kong, Hughes will lead the firm’s Hong Kong contentious practice. He joins a global dispute resolution team of 20 partners, which includes the firm’s only other disputes partner in Asia, Singapore-based Ben Giaretta.
