SAN FRANCISCO — A California appeal court today tilted in favor of a lawyer and law firm sued for malicious prosecution in a trademark dispute between two swimwear entrepreneurs.
The Second District Court of Appeal panel, noting that no reported opinion had addressed the question, determined that a one-year statute of limitations applies to malicious prosecution cases brought against lawyers.
