Joseph H. Flom, a storied M&A dealmaker at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom and a noted philanthropist, died yesterday of heart failure at a New York hospital. He was 87.
As the firm’s last surviving name partner, Mr. Flom was known for guiding Skadden to its current global presence, with approximately 2,000 lawyers.
