LeClairRyan announced the new hires in a press release on Monday. Five Nixon partners joining the firm–IP litigation and patent prosecution partners Michael Goldman, Gunnar Leinberg, and Andrew Zappia, IP and securities litigation partner Richard “Rick” McGuirk, and bankruptcy and financial restructuring partner Gregory Mascitti, all of whom are based in Rochester–had previously announced their intention to leave Nixon Peabody, as we reported last month.
Goldman will become a member of LeClairRyan’s board of directors, while Zappia will serve as head of the firm’s new office in Rochester. Neither lawyer immediately responded to a phone call seeking comment.
