A solo practitioner in Virginia who specializes in civil rights litigation is suing his former girlfriend in Washington federal district court, alleging malicious prosecution, false imprisonment and defamation.
The attorney, Matthew LeFande, a reserve Metropolitan Police Department officer, filed an 18-page complaint Monday against his former girlfriend, Carolyn Mische-Hoeges, a police officer in the District.
