An immigration attorney who failed to follow court orders and showed an “indifference” to the well-being of her clients has been disbarred by a New York state appeals court.
Last year, the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals issued an order barring Karen Jaffe from handling cases before it (pdf) after the Manhattan-based practitioner repeatedly missed deadlines and submitted briefs written by law students that the circuit found deficient.
