A Georgia judge has denied a motion to dismiss sodomy charges against a former high school teacher for having sex with one of his students. Even though Steven Parkman's relationship was with a girl old enough to consent, prosecutors pursued sodomy charges based on the acts having occurred in public places. The judge wrote that Parkman's evidence couldn't support his claim that the charges violated a constitutional right to privacy.
