Two more California attorneys have lost their right to practice because of misconduct associated with their loan modification services. Since launching a task force on loan modification misconduct last year, the State Bar of California has obtained the resignations of 13 attorneys. A State Bar judge last month ordered the involuntarily inactive enrollment of Eric Douglas Johnson of the Law Offices of Eric Douglas Johnson and Mark Alan Shoemaker of the Law Offices of Mark A. Shoemaker.
