Akin Gump has added Howrey partner Cono Carrano to its intellectual property practice. Carrano has represented Intel in patent infringement cases involving microprocessor and multimedia processing technology and in a multipatent, multijurisdictional matter that involved related cases in Europe and Asia. Carrano is the fifth litigation partner to join Akin Gump this year. For Howrey, Carrano marks the latest partner to leave since the hit to the firm's 2009 revenues was made public.
