Looking to expand the senior debt component of its finance practices amid an uptick in deal work, Proskauer Rose has brought on Mayer Brown finance partner Ron D. Franklin. A partner at Mayer Brown since 2002, Franklin said his departure was unrelated to any financial difficulties at the firm. The same day Proskauer announced Franklin's hire, Mayer Brown laid off 75 people, including 28 associates and counsel.
