A week after a devastating 8.8 magnitude earthquake struck Chile and slightly shifted the earth’s axis, The Am Law Daily caught up with León Larrain, the managing partner of Baker & McKenzie‘s Santiago office, to discuss how Larrain and his firm are handling the natural disaster.

Larrain is a corporate lawyer focusing on M&A, banking and corporate finance, and infrastructure projects. He has 25 years of experience working on Chilean deals. Larrain’s local firm, Cruzat, Ortuzar & Mackenna, has been working with Baker & McKenzie since 1992 and became a part of the international firm in 1995.
